The Zubizuri footbridge, designed by internationally known designer Santiago Calatrava, crosses the curvaceous Nervion River in the heart of the city of Bilbao (Basque Country, Spain). The bridge has walls of translucent glass and its name "Zubizuri" means white bridge. 2003-03-01.
