And I like the questions in the viewers mind that result from both ends of the stairway as well as top and bottom being cropped. We don't know where they are coming from or where they are going. We can imagine how far the scene goes from left to right because of the intersecting lines, but we don't know how far up or down.

Too many photos tell or show you everything there is. I prefer some of these that leave it up to you to imagine what is missing.
