the dome of Havana's Capitolio
In Centro Havana, the Capitolio is a must see and dominates the Havana skyline. Ironically, given Cuba's history, the neo classical building is based on the architecture of the Capitol building in Washington and serves as a reminder of the power that the US held over early 20th century Cuba. The building was built in 1929. Looking up into the dome of the Capitolio you can see this details of artwork on ceiling. 2004-12-01.
