Philadelphia Museum of Art

Philadelphia Museum of Art (more info)

The Philadelphia Museum of Art, known locally and colloquially as "The Art Museum" was established in 1876 in conjunction with the Centennial Exposition of the same year. Construction of the current building began in 1919 and the quasi-Greek Revival design was produced by Horace Trumbauer and the firm of Zantzinger, Borie and Medary. The institution describes itself as "one of the largest museums in the United States". This photo was taken in Philadelphia (PA, USA) on 2003-08-08.
