one man barbershop, South Apopka FL
Marcus has owned this little barbershop in South Apopka for ten years. Actually it has two chairs but one is set up for him to sit and play video games when things are slow. He has a small but steady clientele. I live in Apopka. This is "South Apopka" which is not part of the city and has a dramatically different racial mix. This is the deep south even though it's becoming part of metro Orlando.
This was from mid 2003 when I was first starting my "North Orange County" (FL) series of my local community and the impact of change on the residents.

Stop killing us. what can I say but... brilliant! wish you added some techno weenie info as to how you exposed this picture. some of us would like to know. I may give up picture taking entirely. Great stuff, and keep it coming.
This was shot with a 21mm Biogon on a Contax rangefinder(35mm). Back then I was using Ilford XP2. I looked at my notes and it was shot at f4 1/30th.
I believe all the b&w photos here were shot with a Contax rangefinder, almost all on Neopan 400. The entire Daytona Beach Boardwalk series was shot with a Mamiya 7 (6x7) rangefinder on Fuji Asita slide film. Everything is scanned on a Minolta MultiPro.
