Berlin (Germany) celebrates 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall on November 9, 2009.

The fall of the Berlin Wall paved the way for German reunification, which was formally concluded on October 3, 1990.

You can see in this photo the satirical mural depicting Communist dictators the Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev and the East German counterpart Erich Honecker kissing on the lips with true Soviet-era ardour. It was one of the most famous images on what's left of Berlin's once infamous wall and was painted by Russian artist Dmitri Vrubel, one of graffiti artists, in 1990 just months after the rest of Berlin Wall was officially opened. This photo was taken on 1994-08-13.
