AMOR = LOVE . This is a sculpture by Robert Indiana, born Robert Clark. He was one of the leading American Pop artists and is known for his geometric paintings that incorporated letters and other signs. Words and numbers are important to Robert Indiana, too. He has turned them into a language of his own. He uses them to tell you what he's seen, what he's done, and what he thinks. "Some people like to paint trees", he said. "I like to paint love. I find it more meaningful than painting trees". This photo was taken in Bilbao (Basque Country, Spain) on 2007-07-05.
